Meet Our Coaches Personally

At Alonso-Gomez Team, we focus on the technical, strategic, physical and mental aspects of the game. The goal is to accelerate the improvements process of our players. Each training session will follow an individual objective adapter to each player according to their different needs.

Robert serves as a USTA Florida Coaches Commission Chair where he works directly with Team USA providing training camps for the top boys and girls under 14 players.

Robert Gomez

Co-Director of Alonso-Gomez Tennis Team


Robert has developed Junior players since 1989. Since then, Robert placed more than 50 players into U.S. universities earning over $5 million in tennis scholarships.


Universities like, Stanford, UCLA, Duke, UF, Florida State, UM, Clemson, North Carolina, Texas, Denver, Georgia and Emory to name a few. Some of those players have gone on to become NCAA All-Americans more than 20 times.


At the professional level Robert’s players have gone on to play on the ATP and the WTA circuits. Players like Jean-Julien Rojer who has won four doubles Grand Slam championships and finished #1 in the world in 2015. Camila Giorgi who has been ranked as high as (#26) in the WTA, Anna Kalinskaya (#76) Varvara Flink (#122). Andres Pedroso ATP (#271) Denis Zivkovic (#292), Rafael Fernandez de Mesa (#451) and Alfredo Perez (#554).

Ignasi Forcano

Coach

Ignasi is a recent college graduate and played Division 2 for the NCAA D2 League for Barry University (4 years of collegiate experience).


Hitting partner of high professional ATP and WTA players such as: Tommy Robredo (#5), Radek Stepanek (#8), Fred Gil (#62), Ruben Hidalgo (#50), Sebastian Korda (#38), Arantxa Rus (#61) , Marie Bouzkova (#46), Ajla Tomljanovic (#47), Elena Bovina (#14), Qinwen Zheng (#47), Sabine Lisicki (#12), Mirjana Lucic-Baroni (#19), and Renata Zarazua (#122)
